Smoke Bomb Photoshoot

This summer I was a nanny, and the teenager I was nannying was playing with smoke bombs in the driveway (I know I'm a terrible nanny for allowing this) but I was so intrigued by the colors and how the smoke was released. So I decided that I HAD to photograph it. So my younger sister (model) and I went and purchased alot of different colored smoke bombs. And these are a few of the photographs I created from the shoot. The editing is a bit off, because my photoshop skills were still not completely up to parr yet, but I still think they turned out really interesting!

Off to Atlanta This Weekend for yet another Raging Show!

 Pretty Lights!
Bassnectar!
We are going to a double night Pretty Lights Bassnectar Show, something I like to call PrettyNecta.
Should be a blast! I can never get enough live music in my life. I'll be there jamming out with my hula hoop!

Petey Getting Festive For the Holidays!

We got him a banana suit for Halloween, couldn't help it when I saw it at target. I know it looks like he is miserable, but he actually loves his 'nanner' suit! It keeps his little body warm!

Rootwire Music and Arts Festival 2011

This image is from the music festival I went to this summer called Rootwire. It is the band Papadosio's own music festival which they headlined 2 nights, and had an acoustic set one of the days. What is different about this festival than most concerts or other large festivals is that all the bands who perform are also there as a fan and just enjoy themselves with everyone else. They camp and walk around and have conversations with everyone, including the headliner band Papadosio. This image is a fisheye view from above the hill where the mainstage was. This image is so magical, and captured so extroardinarily. It has such a sureal feal to it, but this is actually how it looked at night. All the lights and colors just illuminate the sky. The photographer, Brian Hockensmith, is a huge inspiration to me. He travels to shows all accross the United States and captures the them in such a way ive never seen before. Go to his facebook fan page B.Hockensmith photography "like" it! All his albums are posted on this page, including four albums from just this festival! I advise every photographer or artist to attend a Music & Arts festival because it gives you such inspiration to create something so unique from your own experience and what you took away from it.

Unnoticed and Forgotten: Walk # 1 & Walk #2

We often walk on pathways and never look to see where another may lead.

Just because it is not perfect doesn't mean it's not USEABLE.

Many tend to look past what may intimidate them.

After childhood they become a hassle.

Abandoned and forgotten.

Once it is left unkept people tend to look past.
