People use drugs for a a multitude of reasons. All to escape the realities of their own life for a temporary amount of time. And many will do anything to reach that false reality. For societies around the world this is a huge problem, and it only continues to get worse and reach younger and younger people.
In my photo series, I wanted to show the transformation of people from their reality to their destined comfort; through their eyes, and the eyes of those around them. My intent was to show the transformation of them from sober to their most intoxicated point. In each image I have placed a transformation of 5 forms of themselves as they intake their substance. To show what they look like from an outside viewer's eye.
Behind them, I wanted to show their perception of the world as they reached the peak of their intake. So each setting shows how they would perceive the world while sober, into the slow transmission of their sight high on that substance.
